CARNIVAL

FOR 2010 WE WILL BE AT OUR NEW HOME.. WWW.LLCARNIVAL.CO.UK.

LEIGHTON-LINSLADE CARNIVAL is now one of the town's foremost events, run by a group of volunteers.  It is taking place on Saturday 10th July 2010 and promises to be another day of outstanding entertainment.

Last year over 5000 people enjoyed a spectacular day, which raised over £8000 and this year the carnival promises to be even bigger and better!

For 2010 there will be a glittering carnival parade,  a tea tent, music and much more - in fact something for all the family!

The parade is set to start at Cedars Upper School in Linslade (Mentmore Road) at 12pm with a dazzling array of decorated floats, magnificently costumed walkers, music and street art. The event kicks off at Parsons Close (the park next to All Saints church) at 11am with a fantastic programme of events in the arena. More information available soon!

We always have a wonderful response from the local community. Once again we are encouraging involvement from as many community groups and individuals as possible. Here's some ways to get involved:

  • be part of the parade. The theme this year is SUPERHEROES. You can walk, cycle, skate or get in contact With S and J Pierce for a Lorry and Decorate it.
  • run a stall - Raising funds for your organisation couldn't be easier.

The parade is FREE to enter, and there is a prize for the winners of each category.

We are looking for exciting ideas that make for a diverse and interesting time.

Whilst you're here....... why don't you see how you can help out with the carnival by following our simple rules......
